Description
【Tea 】
Decaffeinated Organic Maofeng Green Tea is one of China’s esteemed green tea varieties. “Maofeng” translates to “Fur Peak,” referring to its fine fuzz-covered, peak-like young buds. This tea is made from delicate, twisted young tea leaves, processed through withering, light roasting, and drying. The decaffeinated version is ideal for those who wish to savor green tea without the side effects of caffeine. Since no other components are affected during the decaffeination process, the tea retains its original flavor and beneficial polyphenol antioxidants.
| Origin:Zhejiang, China | Sort:Green Tea | Level:Premium |

【Production Process】
The production of Decaffeinated Organic Maofeng Green Tea involves two core stages: 1. Traditional green tea processing: Fresh leaf withering → light roasting for shaping → drying to lock in aroma; 2. Decaffeination process: Moistened tea leaves are exposed to pressurized carbon dioxide, which acts as a solvent to remove caffeine—ensuring no loss of flavor or nutrients.
【The Dry Tea Leaves】
The dry tea leaves are tightly twisted, presenting a bright green hue with fine white fuzz covering the surface. The buds and leaves are intact and uniform, showcasing the delicate texture of high-quality Maofeng.
【Tea Liquor】
The tea liquor is clear and transparent, with a unique golden jade color (golden-green tint) that resembles jasper, offering an elegant visual experience.
【Tea Taste】
It has a fresh vegetal note on the palate (like the natural aroma of young tea buds and fresh leaves), with a lively, non-astringent texture. The finish is crisp and refreshing, accompanied by a subtle sweet aftertaste, and the tea aroma lingers gently.
【Health benefits】
As an organic tea, it contains no pesticide residues or chemical additives, ensuring high safety. It also retains abundant polyphenol antioxidants, which help eliminate free radicals. Its low-caffeine feature makes it suitable for caffeine-sensitive individuals, avoiding side effects such as insomnia and palpitations. Additionally, it soothes the body and mind gently, making it easy to enjoy daily.
【Recommended for】
Suitable for people of all ages, especially those sensitive to caffeine (who need to avoid side effects like insomnia and gastrointestinal discomfort), and consumers pursuing a healthy organic lifestyle and fond of green tea flavor.
【Brewing tools】
Glass cups or white porcelain Gaiwan (lidded bowls) are preferred (to appreciate the tea liquor’s color and the leaves’ unfurling process).
【Brewing method】
Generally, use 3-5 grams of tea for every 150 milliliters of water. The recommended brewing temperature is 80-85℃ (boiling water should be avoided to prevent damage to the tea’s nutrients and fresh flavor).
【Number of brews】
Typically 3 to 4 infusions.
【Brewing time】
The first infusion takes about 30 seconds (to allow the leaves to unfurl slightly and release aroma); the second infusion takes about 45 seconds; from the third infusion onward, increase the time by 15 seconds per infusion to ensure stable flavor release.
