Description
Coming from the Davies family which started with parents Jack and Jamie Davies, who founded and restored the modern day Schramsberg estate, best known for their traditional method sparkling wines. This wine is a passion project of their son, Hugh who expanded the family business into still wines, with a particular focus on single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the prestigious coastal site of Sonoma. Keefer Ranch which is to be found in the Russian River Valley provides fruit of striking elegance that when coupled with French oak elevage produces wines of stunning quality. Expect aromas of bright red fruits, cherries, cranberries, and raspberry are wound up in flavors of cedar and baking spices. The silky tannins and long finish demand a fillet of salmon, or roast pork with a cherry reduction.
