【Storage Methods】
- Fresh Jinxianlian should be stored in a refrigerator at 2 – 8℃. It is best to wrap it in a damp paper towel first and then put it in a sealed plastic bag to keep it fresh, and it should be consumed within 3 – 5 days.
- Dried Jinxianlian needs to be stored in a cool, dry, and well – ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and high – humidity environments. It is recommended to put it in an airtight container made of glass or ceramics, and a small packet of desiccant can be placed in the container to prevent moisture absorption and mildew.
- For long – term storage, dried Jinxianlian can be stored in the freezer of the refrigerator. Before storage, it should be sealed tightly to prevent odor absorption. When taking it out, it should be allowed to return to room temperature naturally before opening the container to avoid moisture condensation.
- Regularly check the stored Jinxianlian. If fresh Jinxianlian shows wilting, rot, or peculiar smell, or dried Jinxianlian has mold, discoloration, or musty smell, it should be discarded immediately and cannot be consumed.
