浓香型铁观音按“传统半发酵”做青，按较高火温烘焙。外型色泽经过高温作用，叶绿素破坏，颜色变得乌油润，色泽变暗。由于水分的完全去除，条索稍轻，（在烘焙过程中，会失不少水分，或几乎无水分）。香气清纯，醣灶物质的分解和焦糖化使茶叶带焦糖香，炒米香等特别香型，口感醇厚甜味感强，回甘强，也俗称“熟茶”““熟铁”。
浓香型的主要特点：容易保存、水质浓、较温性、滋味醇厚、口感厚实；存放得当的浓香型铁观音，就如同是一壶陈年老酒一般，滋味越久越醇厚，口感更为清澈，兰花香味浓郁，存放越长时间，那么品质也就越高。
Anxi Nongxiang Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea #1395
Produced in Anxi, this tea is a darker roast with notes of orchids and dried pitted fruits. Nong Xiang means a richer fragrance and this Oolong leaves a fuller mouthfeel with a rich floral aroma.
