Blooming teas (also known as display teas) are a novel form of leaf preparation. Green tea leaves are hand sewn around select flowers and dried into spheres. When submerged in water, they slowly unfurl as the leaves saturate and “bloom” into intriguing forms. You can serve the green tea and add more water to retain the display.
