The GaiWan cup holds tea and water, while the lid is tipped against the rim to act as a spout.

Measure out about 2.5g of tealeaves after “taring” the GaiWan cup on a scale. Add about 5oz of water to the GaiWan and cover it with the lid. When the broth reaches your desired color, tilt the lid inside the cup so the tealeaves can be filtered out, and pour from the GaiWan into a tasting cup. Enjoy!
