Description
This Clouds and Mist Green Tea (云雾) may not look as refined because it is an unfiltered green tea, but the quality is superb — especially for the price. It has a clean, refreshing character with a gentle nuttiness and a smooth finish. One of the best things about this tea is how forgiving it is: you can brew it with higher-temperature water, and it still won’t turn overly bitter.
Grown in Hunan at an elevation of around 1,000–1,200 meters and picked in spring, this tea offers impressive quality for an everyday green tea. For something this good, we’re very happy to be able to secure it.
Gongfu Style Brewing:
Use 3 grams of tea in a 90–100 ml gaiwan or small lidded teapot. This tea can handle hotter water than many delicate green teas, so we recommend using water around 190–200°F. Start with a 10–15 second steep and adjust based on your taste.
This is a great choice if you want a refreshing daily green tea that is easy to brew, smooth, and satisfying.
Glass Teapot Brewing:
For an easy everyday brew, use 4 grams of tea in a 200 ml glass teapot with water at 185°F. Steep for around 90 seconds. This method brings out the tea’s refreshing sweetness, gentle nuttiness, and smooth, clean finish while keeping the liquor light and easy to drink.
