We start this Black Tea blend with a superior grade of Lapsang Souchong, tea that has been carefully infused with the smoke from specific pine needles and branches, yielding a campfire aroma in the Black Tea leaves, the perfect companion to deliver unique character to your cup.
The next step on the journey to becoming our exclusive Russian Caravan Black Tea blend is the addition of orange peel, cinnamon, and clove in proven proportions to reach a perfect balance with the Lapsang Souchong.

Before the arrival of the iron horse, tea would travel in caravans to far away lands – including what we now know as Russia – through mountain passes and weather extremes. The cold night chill was kept at bay by cooking meals over open fires.
