Vinification Details: Grapes are picked when ripe with the correct sugar/ acidity ratio, the grapes are hand or mechanically picked and brought into the winery as quickly as possible the grapes are destemmed and crushed directly into the fermenter for a temperature controlled fermentation below 25C using selected yeast.
History: The Chianti region is in Tuscany. All wines from this region must be made with a minimum of 80% Sangiovese, to protect the region’s identity and quality. These wines are highly regarded across the world, and produces wines to rival the finest in the world.
Regional Information: The Chianti area in Tuscany is one of the most beautiful in the whole region The Chianti DOCG covers all the Chianti wine and includes a large stretch of land from Siena, to Florence and down to Pisa. Chianti DOCG is a premium wine that tend to be medium-bodied with light tannins. This is due to the type of soil the vines are grown on, the altitude at which they are and the varied climate.
