This lot of tea is almost gone. We’re hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee.

Fresh impressions of subtle buttered sweetness and lime zest are painted with a florist’s brush. The light astringency in the finish is easy going and cleans up nicely. Superior quality that won’t disappoint.

This sencha from the Sofu cultivar was produced march 2025 by Akira Chikamori at the Sata Seicha Tea Farm in Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The Sofu cultivar is a combination of the popular Yabukita and Inzatsu 131 cultivars, the latter of which is of the Indian Assamica variety.

Steeping Instructions

3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 175°F | Steep 3 min.

1st Steep – 8 grams | 8 oz water | 175°F | Steep 60 seconds

2nd Steep – 8 grams | 8 oz water | 175°F | Steep 30 seconds

3rd Steep – 8 grams | 8 oz water | 175°F | Steep 15 seconds
