The beauty of Ceylon Golden Breakfast begins in the dry leaf, filled with golden leaf tip, and is transformed into coppery-amber broth before your eyes in your infuser or cup. You will see golden tips on the leaves and golden powder settling at the bottoms of the teabags. Our pyramid-shaped teabags give the leaves plenty of room to expand as they infuse in the teacup.
You can imagine my surprise to be won over immediately, when at dawn each morning on my last tea journey to Sri Lanka, I received a steaming pot of this Ceylon Golden Breakfast beauty, accompanied by whole milk and delightful cubes of sweetener called “jaggery”, made from the palm tree or coconut milk…
