Description
Frog’s Leap Winery founded in 1981 by winemaker John Williams, one of Napa’s winemakers championing both organic and dry farming. Based in Rutherford, the estate is known for wines of restraint and balance, oft times with a slightly lower alcohol than typical Napa wines, reflecting Williams’ focus on terroir transparency. Their Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Galleron Ranch vineyard, the fruit is then fermented slowly in stainless steel with concrete eggs and extended lees contact. Aromas of fresh lemon and grapefruit zest, white peaches, and subtle jasmine, all with a rich creamy mouthfeel while avoiding oak heaviness. Pair this with cream based sauces, but also can go beautifully with sushi.
