Over multiple infusions, Aged Yunnan Puerh Tea increases in mellowness and silkiness, making the aged version blissful to consume.

Combining the exquisite drinking experience of Aged Yunnan Puerh Tea with the reputed health benefits of the tea (especially cardiovascular health), makes the aged version highly desirable. So much so that in the 1960s a technique now known as wet pile (similar to composting) was developed to make the Puerh Tea age faster.

While the end result never completely matched the Raw version of Puerh tea in exact cup character, the new Ripe version Puerh has proven to be delightful in its own right.
