Description
From La Rioja Alta, first founded in 1890 by a group of 5 families, is one of the region’s most prestigous and sought afer names. The estate is best known for their long-lived wines. Deciding to celebrate their centeninial by expanding land holding, they purchased a plot in Ribera del Duero in 1990 and after 10 years, the new Aster estate was completed. Aging their 100% Tinto Fino (regional name for Tempranillo) in a mix of both American and French Oaks to best balance structure and elegance. These wines show vibrant blakberries and plums, layered with flavors of vanilla and baking spices. This bottle begs for steak and rich hearty stews such as Frite de Cordero ( Paprika seasoned mutton stew)
