Description
Japanese roasted green tea (Hojicha or Houjicha) has a mellow nutty flavor that is simultaneously light and sweet. In powdered form, Hojicha yields a richer, thicker brew. Typically lower in caffeine, Hojicha Powder offers a smooth and cozy contrast to standard Matcha, and can be similarly prepared in both traditional and innovative ways.
Brewing Instructions:
Bring filtered or spring water to 190°F. Add .5tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steepminutes.
